Class One (1) Driver Training Program with Air Brake
This Class 1 Driver Training Program with Air Brake was developed to train drivers in the correct and safe method of operating a tractor-trailer unit and as such has no minimum number of hours of instruction required. The student trains in a full size highway tractor and a loaded trailer, the tractor is equipped with a fifteen or eighteen speed road ranger style transmission, The student learns the art of observation, road position and the pre trip inspection prior to their road test at the motor vehicle branch. The average training time spent in this style of truck is twenty-eight hours, including road test time.
The amount of time spent is dependant upon the number of lessons that the student wishes for the type of driving they plan on doing.

Extra costs to the student
There are some extra costs that the student is responsible for and they are as follows:
- Obtaining an Air Brake endorsement prior to start of in cab training
- Motor Vehicle Branch Air Brake written test $15.00
- Motor Vehicle Branch Class One (1) Learners License $15.00
- Road Test Fee $60.00
- Licensing Fee $17.00
- Medical form processing fee $28.00
- BC Medical Examination Approx. $50.00 (depending on your doctors fees)
